CONGRATULATIONS on a fantastic SCAA Summer Championship Meet on August 11, 2012 at Mira Costa High School Pool! SOBA earned the most points at Saturday’s Summer Championship Meet, coming in first in our division and winning the entire meet. Cal Tech Pentathlon - By Coach Steve Hyde The Cal Tech Pentathlon is the place to be for swimmers who feel the need for speed. This event grows larger and faster every year and this year was no exception. Two hundred and thirty-eight swimmers representing thirty-two teams made the trek to Pasadena to participate in this five event drag race. Congratulations to our friend and South Bay Swim Team teammate, Ricardo Monroy! Ricardo is the recipient of the Los Angeles County Lifeguard's 2011 Distinguished Service Award. Ricardo was honored at the Medal of Valor Dinner on July 28. We are so proud of you, Ricardo!
